Minister of State for Petroleum, Doctor Ibe Kachikwu has promised to bring about fundamental change in Nigeria’s oil sector in three hundred and sixty days.

He gave the promise when APC chieftains in Delta State, led by the party chairman, Mr. Jones Erue visited him at his country home in Onicha-Ugbo, Aniocha North Local Government Area.

Doctor Kachikwu said the country’s oil sector will experience a turnaround such that the refineries will work effectively and products will be made available to the people at an affordable price.

The Minister said as a technocrat, he came to give his best to turn the petroleum sector around for the benefit of all Nigerians.

He, however, called for ideas from the public on best ways to achieve successes in the sector, adding that he is not an epitome of knowledge.

Meanwhile, Doctor Kachikwu has ordered a special petrol supply intervention to ensure a hitch free Christmas and New Year celebration.

The order was handed down to the Pipeline Products Marketing Company to embark on special supply intervention measures to ensure country-wide availability of product ahead of the yuletide and beyond.

The NNPC has said that daily fuel trucks which leaves depots to Abuja, Kaduna, Enugu, Kano, Ibadan and Jos has increased significantly.
