NLC threatens strike over sacked teachers Kaduna State

The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC is threatening to embark on a series of activities starting with a protest in Kaduna on Thursday.

NLC President, Ayuwa Wabba disclosed this in a press conference in Abuja following the sack of twenty-two thousand Teachers and ten thousand Local Government workers by Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.

The NLC President said the series of activities is to constitutionally defend the rights of the thirty-six thousand sacked workers in the state.

He stressed the need for the intervention of the federal government on the matter calling it an obvious disregard and fragrant abuse of an existing court ruling and legal process.
