Teachers have been urged to embrace modern technique for teaching and learning to meet up with international best practices.
Minister of State for Education, Barrister Nyesom Wike made the call Tuesday in Abuja at the launching of the Nigeria Education Research and Development Council e-curriculum portal.
The Minster expressed confidence that the project will improve teaching and learning in the country.
On his part, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Dr Mchohn Nwaobial who represented by the Director Human Resource, Dr Umaru described the project as one of its kind in Sub-Saharan Africa and called on State Commissioners of Education to provide the necessary support to ensure that the programme is sustained.
Executive Secretary of NRDC and Co-executive of the project, SIDMAC Technologies Nigeria spoke on the importance of the e-portal.
The e-curriculum is put in place to ease access to learning material and build an ICT complaint education system
