Occupants of a residential apartment narrowly escaped death today when a Mazda 626 car ran into the building.
Wellington Akodeja reports that the driver of the car was rushed to the hospital for medical attention when the News arrived the scene.
Meanwhile, the wreckage of the car was still at the scene of the accident at Welfare Junction, Upper Sokponba Road when the news crew arrived.
Characteristics of such an incident, sympathizers and on-lookers were at the scene to access the extent of damage.
It was gathered that the driver of the vehicle who sustained serious injuries was rushed to the hospital by occupants of the affected building.
Some residents who said the accident occurred late on Wednesday night added that the loud noise from the accident woke them up from sleep.
The residents of the building who said that though no life was lost, attributed the accident to over speeding on the part of the drier pointing out that the driver knocked down a street light pole before crashing into their building.
The wreckage of the vehicle was yet to be removed at the time of this report.
