Ondo police refutes social media reports on herdsmen killing on Benin-Ore road

Ondo State Police Command has described as false, reports trending on social media that some passengers traveling along Benin Ore Lagos road were killed by herdsmen.

The police public Relations officer; Femi Joseph described the report as untrue and a figment of the imagination of those who circulated it on the social media.

The police image maker explained that the said attack was carried out by armed robbers who took to their heels when they learnt that the police was coming after them.
He added that the four passengers who were adopted in the process by the hoodlums were rescued by the police.

Ondo state correspondent, Jonah Omorowa quotes the PPRO as saying that no life was lost in the process.
