Ooni of Ife donates generators, drugs to Abuja IDPs Camp

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has donated two generators, drugs, school bags and notebooks to the Internally Displaced Persons camp in Wassa, Abuja.

Donation was made on behalf of the monarch by a non-governmental organization, Hopes Alive Initiative, at the camp.

Presenting the items to the IDPs camp leader, Geoffrey Bitrus, the Hopes Alive Initiative Deputy Chief Convener, Temitope Adesegun, stated that Oba Ogunwusi was concerned about the plight of the camp inhabitants, who lack access to potable water and drugs.

She explained that the monarch procured the generators to power the borehole in the camp and the clinic, and that the notebooks and school bags were meant to assist the children in their education.

The spokesperson for the IDP camp commended the Ooni for the donation, which, he said, would alleviate the suffering of the camp occupants.
