The management of ITV/Radio today played host to organisers and contestants of Miss University Africa at the Communications Village, Iguosa.
Wellington Akodeja reports that the organisers of the Miss University Africa used the visit to solicit the cooperation of the organization ahead of the grand finale of the pageant slated for August eleventh, 2012 in Benin City.
Receiving the organisers and contestants of Miss University Africa international beauty pageant, the General Manager, ITV/Radio, Senior Elder Ogbeide Uwumwonse commended the initiative of the pageant to partner with the station.
Mr. Ogbeide who expressed delight over the nature of the beauty pageant said the caliber of the beauty queens participating in the pageant shows that the event is of international standard.
On his part, the Special Adviser to Edo State Governor on Culture and Tourism, Mr. Orobosa Omo-ojo said ITV/Radio is known for quality programmes and events aimed at improving the society, hence the need to partner for the success of the Miss University Africa Beauty Pageant International.
The Managing Director, Miss University Africa Pageant, Mr. Taylor Nazal thanked the management of ITV/Radio for the audience.
Mr. Nazal who pointed grey areas of the beauty pageant said is a non-bikini pageant aimed at celebrating beauties with brain and discourages indecent dressing amongst African students.
High point of the visit was a guided tour of ITV/Radio digital transmitting facilities.
