Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo and Senate Majority Leader, Ahmed Lawan on Monday met behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Speaking with Journalists at the end of the meeting, Senator Lawan asked members of the National Assembly to reconvene in the next few days in order to pass the virement and supplementary budget of President Muhammadu Buhari.
He said it is essential for the National Assembly to reconvene as the Government and other aspects of National Development are almost stalled.
The Senate Leader said if the National Assembly does not reconvene, it would mean turning against the Country, stealing the government and fighting the people.
The Majority Leader is hoping that the officers will listen and do the right thing.
