The management of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) Thursday confirmed that 22 passengers were on board the Associated Airlines plane that crashed in Lagos.
FAAN’s spokesman, Mr Yakubu Datti told newsmen that 17 of the passengers were confirmed dead, while five passengers sustained injuries.
It was also gathered that the former Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Agagu’s only son, Seyi, was on board the crashed plane.
But it could not be ascertained if Seyi was among the survivors of the plane crash as at the time of filing this report .
Some persons are feared death and several others injured in an early morning air crash at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos on Thursday.
report says the crash involved a 20-seater Associated airline jet flying to Akure, Ondo State.
according to an eye witness, the plane believed to be carrying passengers heading for the burial of former Ondo State governor, Olusegun Agagu crashed on take off. More soon.
