Police Amendment Bill: IGP Idris Disagrees With Senate

The inspector general of police Ibrahim Idris Wednesday disagreed with the senate on a bill to make it mandatory for the senate to screen and confirm the appointment of inspector general of police.
The IGP stated his position at a public hearing by the senate committee on police affairs on a bill for an act to repeal the police act.
