As the rejection of Lagos State Governor, Akinwumi Ambode by the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Bola Tinubu continue to dominate discuss, the lagos state governor today met with president Muhammad Buhari at the Presidential Villa
The governor who came in company of the chairman of the APC governor’s forum and imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha arrived the villa at about 2.30pm.
They duo were immediately led into the office of the president where they met behind closed doors for about an hour.
When approached for comment while leaving the villa, the Lagos state governor and his Imo state counterpart who declined to speak on camera said the meeting was a very private and sensitive one which they want to keep secret.
Every effort to persuade them to speak failed as they walked into waiting vehicles and were driven off.
Since being rejected by the National Leader of the APC, Bola Tinubu, Governor Ambode had been making frantic efforts to get him to change his mind and allow him a second term in office.
