President Muhammadu Buhari will tomorrow address Nigerians on the nation’s sixtieth independence from the Eagle Square, Abuja.
This is contrary to the annual tradition, where Presidents address the nation through Radio and Television broadcast at Seven in the morning on such days.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, made the development known in a statement titled: October One: President Buhari to address the nation from Eagle Square.
The statement said the address will commence after the anniversary parade beginning at ten in the morning and will be covered by major television and radio stations, especially the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria.
Mr. Adesina said in view of the open-air live address, the traditional early morning October One presidential broadcast will not feature tomorrow.
