Protesters lockout NPDC workers following failure to honour agreement

There was confusion at the early hours of Monday at the premises of the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company, NPDC, in Oko Ogba as inhabitants of the area took over the premises and prevented workers from entering their offices over alleged refusal of the company to complete some projects as part of its social responsibility to the host community.

Kunle Alabi reports that the protest lasted for several hours.

Thomas Sadoh has details.
