The House of Representatives held a valedictory session today in honour of the late Honourable Raphael Nomiye who died on the 22 November, 2013.
In his valedictory message, Speaker of the House, Honourable Aminu Waziri Tambuwal described the late lawmaker as a man of upright standing who was selfless in serving his constituency and the country at large.
Members of the house in their various messages expressed sadness at loosing the lawmaker. They described the late Raphael as a man who stood for the unity of the country and sustainability of democracy.
They prayed god to grant the family, the constituency of the deceased the fortitude to bear the loss.
Mr Bamipe Nomiye who spoke on behalf of the family said the late lawmaker was a pillar of strength not only to the family but to the entire Ondo State.
The valedictory session ended with special prayers offered for the repose of the soul of the deceased as well as members paying their last respect to the late lawmaker.
The burial of late Honourable Raphael Nomiye is slated for 7th November, 2013 at Ondo State.
