Senate President, Bukola Saraki has announced his exit from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Saraki announced his decision in a Tweet on his Twitter handle this evening.
The Senate President said he decided to dump the APC after extensive consultations.
He did not indicate the party he is moving to, though there have been speculations of his plan to defect back to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Meanwhile, the Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed said he had defected to the Peoples Democratic Party from the All Progressives Congress.
Ahmed in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communication, Muyideen Akorede, said he took the decision after wide consultations.
