Senate Condemns Plight Of Nigerians, Other Africans In Libya

The Senate has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to cease opportunity of the ongoing AU summit in Abidjan to table report of slave markets in Libya where Africans and mostly Nigerians are auctioned as slaves.

This was sequel to a motion moved by the senator representing Borno central Babakaka Bashir at Wednesday’s plenary.

National Assembly correspondent Osaruonamen Reports the Senate as calling on the minister of foreign affairs to invite the Libyan ambassador to determine how many Nigerians are affected.
