Senate Resumes For Plenary After Christmas Break

Ahead of the February elections, the Senate has said that all hands should be on the deck to ensure free, fair and credible elections in the country.

It also asked Nigerians, especially the political class to support the Independent National Electoral Commission to achieve free, fair, transparent and credible elections without hindrance.

Senate President, Senator David Mark stated this today at the resumption of plenary after the Christmas, New Year and Eid-el Maulud break.

The welcome speech by the Senate President marked the beginning of the final lap of the Seventh Senate.

He said that a few weeks from now, Nigerians will once again go to the polls to elect their representatives.

Senator Mark assured that the Senate will stick to the task of delivering democratic dividends to the people.

He also tasked politicians to desist from provocative and inciting utterances.
