African women’s champions Nigeria are set to play two friendlies against the Olympic-bound South Africans.
South Africa will host a game on the thirtieth of May with the second in Nigeria on the twenty-third of June.
The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF says the games fit in with both team’s upcoming travel plans.
NFF Spokesman, Ademola Olajire said Super Falcons will engage in a 2012 African Women’s Championship qualifier against Zimbabwe on the twenty-seventh and will travel to South Africa for the friendly match after the qualifier from there.
South Africa is also facing Zambia in a similar qualifier and will travel to Nigeria after that game for the second leg of the friendly.
Nigeria beat South Africa two goals to one when the teams last clashed in an African Women’s Championship group game in Johannesburg in November 2010.
Super Falcons eventually won the Africa Women Championship in South Africa defeating Equatorial Guinea four goals to one.
But Super Falcons failed to qualify for the Olympics.
