Two Suicide Bombers Attack Borno Community

Suicide bombers have attacked the General Hospital in Molai, a community on the outskirts of Maiduguri in Borno State.

Having failed to gain access into the hospital the suicide bombers detonated explosives at the entrance of the hospital.

According to the police, a female suicide bombers earlier attacked a joint security guard in the community.

A statement by Public Relation Officer of the Borno State Police Command, DSP, Victor Isuku, said she detonated the improvised explosive device strapped to her body near the security guard location killing herself alone.

The police said hours later, two more suicide bombers targeted the Molai General Hospital and tried to gain entry into the temporary settlement area for rehabilitated leprosy patients.

They were prevented by the persistent barking and attack from dogs in the area.

In the process, they hurriedly detonated IEDs strapped to their bodies, killing themselves.

According to the statement, Police personnel were promptly drafted to the scenes, to restore normalcy.
