Uche Secondus Emerges PDP National Chairman

Uche Secondus has emerged as the new National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

He emerged winner of the elective convention of the PDP which came to an end in the early hours of today.

Prince Uche Secondus who polled a total of Two thousand votes to record a landslide victory as the first runner-up and former Education Minister, Professor Tunde Adeniran garnered two hundred and thirty votes.

Media mogul, Raymond Dokpesi polled sixty-six votes, with Professor Taoheed Adedoja trailing in the rear with no vote.

The party also has a new National Secretary in Senator Umar Ibrahim Tsauri who polled a total of one thousand, five hundred and forty-nine votes.

Also elected into the National Working Committee (NWC) at yesterday’s delegate election was Senator Gamawa Babawo Garba who emerged the new Deputy National Chairman (North) beating former Minister of Women Affairs, Hajia Maryam Inna Ciroma, who many had tipped for the position.
