UN Human Right Chief Seeks Justice For Children Abused By Boko Haram

The United Nations has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to investigate and prosecute horrifying allegations of rape and amputation of children by the Boko Haram Sect.

The United Nation High Commission for Human Rights Mr Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein said a report of violation committed by the Nigerian Armed Forces should also be investigated and perpetrators brought to justice.

According to the UN official, civilians in Northern East part of the Country have been living through horrifying acts of cruelty and violence by Boko Haram Militants.

This he says include, wanton killings, summary executions, force participation in military operations the use of children to detonate bombs, forced labour, forced marriage and sexual violence including rape.
